"Scenery from the Saddle" - Wilderness Photography Pack Trip

$750.00

ALL INCLUSIVE!
You get there, we take care of the rest!

Some of the most ruggedly beautiful country in the continental United States, the Absaroka Mountains, are nothing less than breath taking.  Join us on an adventure into this landscape of soaring peaks, clear mountain streams, lush forests, and wildflower filled meadows as we travel by horseback into this remote area of unparalleled beauty.

Your photography leader and instructor, Les Voorhis, has been in the saddle since he was a kid, having a wealth of experience not just in photography but riding as well.  For this trip we have partnered up with an extemely professional and experienced outfitter who's guides have been running pack trips into the Absarokas for over 20 years.  A crew of true cowboys, they will guide you on the outdoor experience of your dreams.

We travel by horseback up to our high mountain base camp, from here we will travel out each day to explore the amazing landscape and wildlife opportunities this area presents.   Relax as we take care of all the details in our comfortable camp, with excellent camp-cooked meals, and a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the scenery of the beautiful Absaroka Mountains.   We will be here at the ideal time of year for landscape photography, with fair weather, great flower fields, and stunning skies.   Les will share his abundant experience as a photographer, guiding you to great opportunities, and providing a wealth of information and instruction to help ensure you get amazing images.  Photography opportunities include vast mountain landscapes, snow-capped peaks, crystal clear streams and lakes, and the peak of summer wildlflowers.  We will also have some distinctly western subjects, including our horses and the pack string, camp life, the evening camp fire, and more!

In addition to the great opportunities for photography, you'll have plenty of times to relax and soak in the scenery.  Enjoy hiking, fishing, stargazing, or spend time viewing the abundant wildlife of the region including elk, bears, moose, bighorn sheep, and more.  Join us for a one of a kind high mountain pack trip experience, this trip is a MUST do for anyone who loves wilderness, horses, photography and the "get away from it all" spirit.
